At ProVia, our mission is to serve, by caring for details in ways others won’t, and that includes all the components needed to install our prehung exterior doors quickly and efficiently. We take great care to ship all our entry doors as a complete system, ready for easy installation based on the components that you have specified in your order.

ProVia’s exterior door packages include everything needed for installation, all in one box. All components are supported inside the box with padding, corrugated cardboard boxes, and clear wrap, to protect the door during shipment and on the jobsite.

Prehung exterior doors can be ordered to include:

  • Prehung door in the frame—our entry doors are assembled within the frame so you don’t have to put them together on the jobsite
  • Pre-finished door—the slab and frame have been finished with the specified stain or paint, and matching touch-up color is included in the shipment
  • Casing—the molding profile surrounding the frame is included, pre-cut and wrapped separately
  • Cladding—the aluminum covering for the brickmold can be attached, wrapped loose inside the box, or packaged in a separate box based on your preference
  • Mull covers—for doors with transoms or sidelites
  • Threshold—our airtight and weatherproof sill and built-in Z-AC™ or ZAI™ thresholds are pre-installed
  • Hardware—hinges, kickplate, mail slot, deadbolt, knockers and pet doors are pre-installed (if applicable), and the lockset is packaged separately
  • Installation kit—fiberglass installation and caulking can be ordered to ship with your door, along with silicone, steel drywall screws, and shims

THRESHOLD
A threshold covers the entry door sill and provides protection against the elements. The threshold directs water flow out of your home by adding a slight slope towards the outside.

The bulb and blade sweep form a seal between the base of your door slab and threshold, virtually eliminating drafts and keeping your home comfortable year-round.

HARDWARE
Entry door hardware includes different types of knobs, levers and locking systems that provide basic function, security and style.

STRIKE PLATE
A strike plate located on the door jamb provides extra security where the door latches, preventing unwanted forced entry.

HINGES
A hinge is a piece of hardware that allows the door slab to open and shut. The color of your hinges are typically matched to your door's hardware.

CASING
Casing is a type of trim designed to hide the gap between the door frame and the wall. A variety of styles and finishes are available to fit your style.
